Subject: ODG: An Australian Case?

Dear Colleagues:

I am looking for an Australian case that stands for either of these two propositions:

  1.  If a parent is injured by a driver’s carelessness, any dependant children who suffer loss because of the victim’s loss of earnings have no right of action.
  2. If a husband suffers loss because of the defamation of his wife which results in her losing her job, he will have no standing to sue.

 Anything spring to mind?
